Exploration of fluid motion in viscous ferrofluid. It is made of nanoscale ferromagnetic particles suspended in oil-based carrier. When subjected to a magnetic field – interfacial instability occurs, forming arrays of peaks in the ferrofluid.
Shot on Fujifilm X-H1 mounted on DJI RSC2 to help add motion and minimise shake with a macro lens. The Ronin app was indispensable in the track mode to program movement and start recording while freeing up hands to move the lights and fluid.
